Abstract: In modern times, the form of rural tourism is developing ceaselessly due to its positive effects towards the economy, the society, and the environment of a country. In Vietnam, the potentials for development of rural tourism are greatly enormous, but its enhancement is inconsiderable and unsustainable. There has been misused the potentials somehow. The paper supplies some questions about the development tendency of Vietnam’s rural tourism based on experiences learned from other countries, on its potentials, on the orientation of Vietnam Communist Party and Government; and some solutions are suggested accordingly.
